The servant reappears after 1 hour in an unoccupied spot within 30 feet of you. You may return your servant to your side as an action and expending a Spell Slot of 1st Level or higher. If the servant is reduced to 0 hitpoints, it vanishes, leaving behind no body. Alternatively, when you take the Attack action, you may sacrifice one of your attacks to command the servant to take the Attack action instead. Using your bonus action, the chained servant may be commanded to take the Attack action on its turn. The chained servant follows the same rules as those of the Find Familiar spell, with the following exceptions You can also determine the servants appearance, though it always bears markings and features reminiscent of your patron's nature, appearing as some small fiend, a sprite, or floating eyeball. Choose its stat block - Cunning, Vicious or Frightening - which uses your proficiency bonus (PB) in several places. The servant is friendly to you and your companions and obeys your commands.

When you finish a long rest, you can summon a chained servant to your side. You gain the ability to summon a special familiar called a Chained Servant, a creature bound to your patron and sent to serve you. With the approval of the DM, a player can choose to replace the Pact of the Chain featured in the Player's Handbook with this feature instead.
